Christchurch Branch Event: TC Careers - Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies

Joan Nanartowicz and James McLaughlin work as technical communicators for CTCT – Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies – a Trimble spin-off company. CTCT produces machine control systems for the construction industry.
In this talk, they describe what their day-to-day jobs entail and their experiences with the software tools that they use, including Madcap Flare, Jira, Confluence Wiki, and SVN/Git.
This is the first talk in a series where local writers describe their jobs.

About the speakers
James McLaughlin and Joan Nanartowicz each have over 10 years' technical writing experience in New Zealand and overseas. They now work on the same team at Trimble, where they share enthusiasm for technical communication, commuter cycling and boot camp. They have each worked in their current roles for over three years.
