We’re looking for a skilled technical writer. You should be able to analyse, interpret, simplify and communicate technical information in plain English. Have excellent knowledge of English language and grammar and a strong focus on quality and attention to detail. An understanding of business process modelling and management of documents through the life-cycle would be an advantage.

Three plus years experience in a similar position or field is desirable as is experience of the New Zealand Defence force and/or knowledge of logistics. If you are able to design and draw business and technical diagrams it would be an advantage.

Higher level security clearance -

  • most preferably a NZ citizen who has resided continuously in this country for the last 10 years, OR
  • is a citizen of, and/or has resided continuously in one or more of the following countries for the last 10 years: either Australia, Canada, NZ, UK or the USA; and has a background history that is verifiable and can be assessed as appropriate by the NZSIS towards a recommendation of suitability for a security clearance at a higher level.
