February 2016

So much has happened since our last newsletter in December. Swims, good reads, picnics and other feasts, bike rides and time with family and adventures. Ah, the holidays are over – long live the holidays!

This issue bursts with offers (a prize!), demands (a survey!), and news (a conference!) We also feature Tyson Barnett, a TC at Gallagher Group in Hamilton.

Janet Taylor, of TWIA, has reviewed an editor's little helper and reports on how PerfectIT is. For dessert, Luke Pivac plates up Nemetics and other gems from around the 'Net.

Tools Review: PerfectIt Version 3

Janet Taylor is a technical writer who has no pretensions at all to being an editor. To overcome that shortcoming, and because she doesn’t have anyone to edit her work, she relies on software tools to help her. One specific software tool: PerfectIt from Intelligent Editing.

Let's Tech Communicate

Luke Pivac talks about Nemetics, explores a new platform for publishing product information, and asks how many technical communicators should be in an organisation. Plus, sage advice to our younger selves, different strategies for rolling out responsive design projects, and the rise of the part-time contributor. This and much more from around the ‘Net!
